Replace Refined storage crafter & interface with appropriate AE2 items to work in AE2. However, it will only place blocks on top of a block of the same type as the one directly below the soil the flower is planted on. Have it drop a item onto a pressure plate then feed the redstone signal from the plate back up to the open crate. Yes you would need to create a hydrated/tilled block below it, but that's easy enough to do. The redstone on the lower slabs leads up to the hopper and will stop it from loading coal into the open crate if there's some on the pressure plate. It is used to create the Portal to Alfheim and all of the top tier Botania equipment. Put the pressure plate on the ground. Build a 3x3x3 obsidian cube around the hungry node, but make the bottom layer of the cube 5x5. Have it deposit the items it picks up into an open crate so it falls back into the mana.
